Recognize, Catch, Work, Advocate

My daughter (9 years old) has recently been diagnosed with ADD and I have noticed a drop in self-esteem. There has also been a connection between ADD and depression, and I want to take a proactive approach to my daughter’s emotional and mental well-being. There is a long history of mental illness in our family and I want to be able to recognize signs and catch them early. Also, it is very important for me to be able to work hand-in-hand with my daughter’s school regarding these issues. By attending these sessions, it has given me the hope and confidence to begin to be an advocate for her.
